Locavore Jazz: Yesterday & Today

Another bad software day...

But, last night's music was indescribable. Yes, Howard Levy played harmonica, piano, & jew's harp; yes, Michael Riessler played the best, most versatile bass clarinet I've ever heard; it may have been "jazzical"; I've got a CD of theirs with the same music & the memory of it live...

I'm typing while listening to a YouTube concert of Jose James singing Billie Holliday. It's as if Billy Eckstine's grandson were a neo-millennial crooner. He's just issued a CD of the same with Jason Moran, John Pattitucci, & Eric Harland backing him. I want to hear that version too...
