1. My Durham Jazz Workshop course starts next Tuesday 7-8p, starting with locavocalist Angela Bingham performing. There are three people registered as of this morning, but I'm ready for as many people as possible to end joy my guests: Angela; Saxapahaw's resident pianist, Alison Weiner; UNC professors & playing buddies, Stephen Anderson & Jason Foureman; NCCU Artist-in-Residence, Branford Marsalis; NCCU professor Baron Tymas; & pianist Ernest Turner. 2. The Niche Wine Lounge in Holly Springs is worth checking out. I heard Angela Bingham sing there last night, warm in my zipper jacket & in the nearby gas heat, distantly spaced from other customers, & mellowed further by pinot noir. It's 40-45 minutes from my Carrboro home, & worth the effort in this Time of No Other Live Jazz. Find it at: Facebook.com/nichewinelounge
3. Local saxist Dexter Moses & his quintet with vocalist played last January in Richmond & sounded great. Check it out at: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jLpZRf0TCm0&t=920s
4. Saxist Keenan McKenzie has put together another swing dance band number that you don't need to like swing dancing to appreciate at:

I'm keeping my eye out for more outdoor jazz gigs. I feel like it's just a matter of time!
