Though I wish sentimentally for the Beyu to have more locavore jazz on weekends, the Braxton Cook Quartet is a good example of how they're balancing extravore & locavore jazz to make a go of it. I caught their second set last night & was stunned by their youthful skill. Braxton Cook is the oldest of the group: age twenty-three. As I told people last night in serious jest, our grandchildren will be blessed by these musicians. Be sure to catch them the next time around; the two sets were packed last night so get tix early...
