This Week = Vocalists: Spurred by the above, my desire for more vocal performances & (most of all) an incredible number of vocal gigs this week, here's what's coming:
Sunday: Last minute reminder of the Durham Symphony Orchestra 100th birthday tribute to Ella Fitzgerald & Langston at the Hayti Center 4p, including vocalist Yolanda Rabun. Starter vocal yayas.
Tuesday: Ti Harmon & pianist Andrew Berinson perform for a pre-Valentine's dinner at the Beyu 6 & 8p.
Wednesday: Jo Gore sings at Raleigh's Wakefield Wine Cellar 8p.
Thursday: Frankie Alexander sings at Irregardless 6:30p.
Friday:
- Jo Gore sings at Durham's Parizade restaurant 6p.
- Angela Bingham sings at the Niche Wine Car in Holly Springs 8p.
- Adrian Duke & Theresa Richmond sing jazzy bluesy music at Durham's Blue Note Grill 9p.
- Mark Wells sings/plays piano at the Empress Room 9:30p.
Saturday:
- Yolanda Rabun sings a Nancy Wilson tribute at the Beyu 7 & 9p.
- Kate McGarry sings with guitarist Keith Ganz & keyboardist Gary Versace--their CD release party #1--at Sharp Nine 8p.
- Jo Gore (yes, she's a busy lady) sings at Durham's Blue Note Grill 8p.
- Noah Powell sings at Irregardless 9p.
Sunday: Kate McGarry sings with guitarist Keith Ganz & keyboardist Gary Versace--their CD release party #2--at Sharp Nine 7p.
I know, this is crazy. Most weeks have a few vocalists, but virtually all our local vocalists are singing this week. Enjoy!
